DISCLAIMER: I am not asking Spencer to donate his own money. I just want to say how shitty it looks for him to make it a publicity stunt. That it’s douchey for him to try and make it seem like he’s this big contributor of WoSo. He can do whatever the fuck he wants with his money.
What a time to be alive! The last time you opened up this website, oh who am I kidding, you haven’t. A lot has happened since my last blog. Every American soccer league began. (No Blog) The Women’s World Cup started. (No Blog) In fact, unless you live under a rock, you already know the USWNT qualified for the WWC Final yesterday with a win against the Lionesses. Most importantly, we should thank god almighty that Spencer FC has finally taken notice of Women’s Soccer. You read that correctly, Hashtag United’s founder took to Twitter to show his support for the Lionesses prior to the Semi-Final game.
My commitment to Women’s football:
If the @Lionesses win their Semi Final vs USA tonight & secure a spot in the @FIFAWWC Final, I will sponsor a Women’s team for next season with new kits & a financial contribution 👍🏻
Super inspired by this tournament. Let’s keep it going! pic.twitter.com/BmChslyACn

Now, I’m not one to get all political, nor am I a Public Relations Guru, but Jesus Christ was this bad. We haven’t seen someone put their foot in their mouth this bad since Joe Biden said that thing about those people. Just this one quote alone would somehow get Trump another 1% increase in approval rating somewhere in rural America. “In terms of the quality, I just look at it as a football game now.” Oh, Heavens to Betsy! We’ve gotten his approval! As opposed to before this World Cup when they were playing Volleyball with their feet. I can’t begin to tell you the level of disrespect it is to all the hard working Lady Ballers, past or present, that have made names for themselves. It’s almost like if I said, “Wow, I’m so surprised with the way these NBA players have been playing. In terms of the quality, I can’t distinguish it from any other sport. I just look at it as a basketball game now.” Pretty shitty thing to say. But it gets better!
“If the Lionesses win their Semi-Final vs USA tonight & secure a spot in the FIFAWWC Final, I will sponsor a Women’s team for next season with new kits & a financial contribution!” Oh, nice! He’s gonna be this great contributor to a WoSo team in England. BUT ONLY if they win! (To be fair he went on to say he’s keeping his promise but who even cares tbh) I will donate $100 dollars to X Charity IF and ONLY IF the USWNT win the WWC Championship. Gimme a break. YOU’RE DOING IT FOR THE LIKES SPENCE! Does it get better? Kinda.
You’re welcome to dive into this thread where Kim gets keyboard warriored by the Hashtag-ers? They retaliated for their hashtag-y leader. Why? I don’t know actually. People just want to bring other people down right? Hence this blog.

What people fail to realize is that Spencer FC is a great guy. Don’t believe me, just ask him. He’ll tell you.

I get it. The money he’s raised and donated already is phenomenal. And it should not be ignored. But these aren’t badges that people need to be reminded of. You either do it out of an act of kindness, or you do it for publicity. And more probable than not, Spence raised and donated that money in kind spirit. But it shouldn’t be used to proclaim you’re some sort of saint for doing so.

To sum it all up, maybe its a bit of a stretch to call him a prick, but TBH the video came off a bit, well, pricky. Look Spencer seems like a good dude. I just think he went the wrong way of putting out his offer. Being charitable but with a stipulation isn’t exactly, charity-like. The truth is, if he really felt the way he feels about growing WoSo, then it shouldn’t be on whether or not the England team would have won or not. Oh, and Alex Morgan is the new Queen of England. Thank you. (T-shirts might come. Might not. Ideas are there, talent and money are not.)
P.S. Spencer if you’re reading this, I have no shame in re-writing this in your favor for your sponsoring of the site.
