Juventus– The University of Turin’s School of Management and Economics witnessed the graduation of a very familiar face this afternoon as Giorgio Chiellini collected a Masters Degree in Business Administration cum laude today. The Juventus defender presented his thesis on “The Business Model of Juventus Football Club in an International Context” before his, Professor, supervisors, and Juventus’ Head of Public Affairs.
Congratulations to Giorgio Chiellini for receiving his MBA. Not only is he a badass wall of a defender, but he also is a graduate of business. It is a little bit of redemption for him after missing out on the ’06 World Cup squad. Imagine being a really good player for a championship team, only to be relegated, miss the World Cup squad, and be in attendance for the ’06 final, watching your friends and club teammates win the most prestigious trophy in the world. Brutal.
Just to throw some stats, 5 Sería A titles, 1 Sería B, 2 Coppa Italias, 3 Supercoppa Italianas, a Bronze Olympic Medal, Bachelors degree, Masters degree, oh and a Published author. Have a life Giorgio.
But shout out to him for getting that degree. It’s rare to see world class athletes going to school while, oh by the way, playing in front of hundreds of thousands of people every weekend, no big deal.
Ultimately I would imagine it’s easy to be a student when your professor is more than likely your biggest fan. Straight A’s in every class. I don’t know why more athletes don’t try going to school during their careers. There is absolutely no way any professor, that isn’t a fan of a rival team, wouldn’t just let you show up and do nothing and still pass.
Ps. Shaq is literally has a PhD, it seriously cannot be hard, at all.
