Another week in the books, means, another week we are to the Confederations Cup in the summer. But, more importantly, we are closer to wrapping up our league seasons. Teams are getting their hearts ripped out of their body, or whatever is left of it after bum seasons, in being relegated to lower division. The western hemisphere leagues are in Playoff full swing, except the weird MLS that doesn’t decide on a champion until December. Countries are more separated now more than ever. The battle to stay in Division 1 is on, and that brings on some incredible action in our RYG of the weekend.
Goals
We start off across the pond in the Premier League. On Friday, Chelsea wrapped up their great season by beating West Bromwich 1-0. This win clinched them the Premier League title, so we tip our hat to Antonio Conte and the Blues. Our second goal is from Mousier Andre Piere Gignac, in Liga MX. During a tough regular season, Tigres barely reaches the Clausura Playoffs in 7th seed, but Giganac was there to save the day. Tigres advances to semifinals after Gignac scored 2 goals in both legs. Also, we gotta show some love to CD Leganes who for the first time in their 89 year old franchise, least year made La Liga, and a tie on Sunday means they are secured in La Liga for another season, shoutout to you guys. Our highlight comes from France’s FC Metz keeper, Eiji Kawashima, who makes stop fantastic saves.

Yellow Card
Three Yellow cards this week. The first goes to Villareal, who tied 0-0 with 17th place Deportivo La Coruna. Not only did the scoreless draw save Deportivo from relegation, but it also hurt Villareal’s chances of reaching the Champions League playoff spot. Though they are in contention of qualifying for Champions League pretty cousin the Europa League, a loss to Valencia next weekend means Real Sociedad could easily steal that spot away from them. Yellow Card numero dos goes to Gianluigi Donnaruma. Have I critcized him before? Yes. Is he still only 18 years old? Yup. As the GK of AC Milan, is excempt from some critizism when he fucks up? NOPE. He will get better, but little mistakes like the goal he gave up against Atlanta is why Milan has failed to secure a spot in international competitions. The new owners couldn’t have come any sooner. And the lowlight is for Mr. Andre Ayew who missed a 3 foot shot in the loss to the Gunners. Even Wegner thinks Ayew should be out after that miss.

Red Card
Our Reds start off with dirty ole football. With its influence on us regular peoples lives. We eat live and breath this sport, and sometimes you can be a real bitch. This come becuase its the time of year, dirt poor clubs dread the most. Scraping the bottom of the barrel, these teams know back in August that they don’t stand a chance to stay up top, but sometimes, it takes our good friends like Sunderland did last week. This week, Sporting Gijon and Hull City learned their faith, while Hamburg and Cotone fight to stay alive. It’s the nature of the business, it sucks but its got to happen. What doesn’t have to happen is in stadium fights. I always hate to say the, “it doesn’t belong here,” saying but it doesn’t belong here! When Tigres put on a whooping on their neighbors Monterrey, they couldn’t tale their ass whopping with pride. Instead, they resorted with violence against innocent (probably intoxicated) Tigres Fans. No ganging up on the innocent. Not here, not anywhere. The Lowlight goes to Lorient. Right now, the battle at the bottom of the French Ligue 1 is a BLOODBATH. 5 teams are dueling it out, with Bastia and Lorient playing a HUGE match this weekend. A 2-0 win for Bastia means they move within a point of Lorient. A win on Sunday, and a luckily scheduled PSG win would all but secure them another season in Ligue Un. The red card is to Lorient because of the 2 dispicable goals conceded to Basti. Unacceptable and quite frankly, despicable!
