A story as old as time/Carli Lloyd, USWNT Super Stars being traded to other teams. This is some big news here. Not only has this trade created some huge ripples (I said ripples) in the soccer world but it also gives me the validation I seek, more on that in a second.
We all love a good love story in football. Team meets player. Player gets too good for said team, and poof off to Europe. That story is actually older than the USWNT players being traded story. Think Christie Rampone Pearce circa 2015. But we all love to see it. It warms our hearts. Unless the player being traded warms our hearts even more.
Maybe I’m biased on hating this trade because like a million other people, Rose is the LOML. We all want to see her succeed in the NWSL. That being said, her playing in England makes me sick to my stomach. Not because I hate City or the WSL for that matter, it’s that finding games in the US is hard, and waking up early to find them is even harder. But, I’ll make that effort to see that Rose-Sam-Georgia Midfield.
If Rose joins too, that Stanway-Mewis-Lavelle midfield would easily be the best in the world. https://t.co/WuLRVJBgE8

I do actually love Washington getting some value for Rose knowing she was going to leave. It was inevitable. Also, I totally would’ve traded her right after the USWNT pulled that shit about limiting her minutes in an elimination game. Good for Washington.
OL Reign on the other hand, probably even better. Considering the Olympics is suppose to go on next year, Rose would’ve been out half the year. Now, I don’t know exact specifics, but let’s say Rose plays for City starting up in September and the WSL season goes on through August of next year, Rose could possibly be in the lineup with the Reign in time for playoffs 2021(?). Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, and you know what, me too.
So onto my validation. I’m like every other blogger, except I don’t really blog that often, or as good, or have a proper looking website, or have that undying support from thousands of followers or a Patreon to plug. But I do, like them, seek validation. I psychopathically believe I’m a better tweeter than 25% of the American Soccer Media. Sure maybe there are lots of jokes that miss the mark, or bad takes, or gloating, and a hundred other things I can name. But if nothing, you’ll get someone who’ll tell it like it is. Unless what “like it is” is something I disagree with, in which case I’ll backtrack faster than JJ or Kelley when confronted about that stuff they did.
You may be asking, why is this strange idiot looking for validation? In the words of the great Ashley Sanchez, “For the money.” I want to monetize and get cents possibly even dollars to pay off le student loans. But more importantly, I’m sick of the fake, “Woso supporting media people” that’ll only pay attention only when it matters. People like the guys in suit jackets who could legit give a shit about the league if weren’t for that Bud heavy money. Don’t believe me peep that Twitter feed and see how much they care about it more than the PL.
If it sounds like jealousy, it’s because it is. I won’t deny that. What I will deny is the rumors being spread that I blindly just say shit. Or that I say “can confirm” to breaking news without actually having sources. Don’t believe the fake news spreading, failing media. It could be worse though. I could be hated by everyone because I’m too stupid to see the company and person I work for have done some unspeakable shit and I defend them because they pay me. No thanks to that.
Anyways see you on the next USWNT player being traded. Probably Sam Mewis.
