Let’s go back to May 27, 2020. If I were to ask you, the Utah Royals would go from an excellent host of the NWSL Challenge Cup, to cease as an organization within 6-months, you’d might have called me a moron (again?). It’s a tough look but one that is necessary. Utah was kinda, sorta, for lack of a better word, a shit show from launch. They’ve had some really good talent, a great logo, but ultimately the most toxic and dysfunctional front office we have seen, possibly since Donald Sterling. I think we ought to just retire the name Donald like we did that other name.
I’m actually excited for the NWSL going back to Kansas. I wasn’t watching the league back when there was a team there, but I’ll take another excuse to visit the BBQ capital city of the world. So long as the KC team doesn’t have a god awful logo like they did before.
Who we looking at in terms of owners? I don’t know many rich people from KC, but I do know one person. They’re famous, they’re rich, and we could use yet another TikTok Star owner in the NWSL! JACKSON MAHOMES! COME ON DOWN!!!!!
