Also, expect NWSL chaos over the next 8-9 days.

Wouldn’t you know it, my New Years resolution this year was 1. Finally use the Gym membership I’ve been paying for all 2018, B. Put in a better effort at this blogging stuff and iii. Eat Mor Chikin. I’m all about cow awareness. I mean, almost all about it until I remember how delicious medium-rare cheeseburgers are. So it’s 2019 huh. The year soccer takes over America? We got Back-to-Back Women’s World Cup Championship in our eyes this summer, the launching of the new USL leagues, USMNT competing for a Gold Cup and a spot in the Confederation Cup 2021, and I don’t know if you’ve heard yet, might be breaking news for yah, but the Chosen one just made his move to dominate the Premier League at Chelsea. But keep it on the low, he isn’t even gunna play for them until next season. Mexico will be trembling in their boots, as CONCACAF is draped in Red White and Blue this year. Well, it’s either that or their new president scammed the shit out of them and they’re stuck with him for the next 6 years.
The coming of the new year brings news of the American soccer leagues ready to pick up again in April. But first there is a draft on the horizon. 6 sleeps from now the NWSL’s draft is going to be held. This is where the NCAA women’s champions lose half their talent to professional leagues. Apart from athletes making the jump from amateur to pro, comes the madness of trading. Yes, it’s that special time of year where the players get tossed around like they’re chess pieces, and essentially forced to live a completely different life then they been living. Imagine living in a beautiful city like (Enter your favorite teams city) and getting tossed to a third world city like (enter team that you hate. Probably is in Oregon somewhere). But no biggie, they’ll have you believing that, “ultimately, you have to remember that this is a business.” Exceptttt….. that having no respect for a persons thoughts on where they want to live, is a total bullshit way of saying, “hey you didn’t want to play here for less money, so where gunna ship you to a place you’ll probably hate. But don’t worry, we’ll pay for your airfare.”
But I digress, in less than a week, according to Twitter at least, shit is about to go down. We got rumors of major trades, international transfers, maybe a commissioner for a change? Whatever it may be, I know I’ll have my eyes glued to Twitter. Not because of the shit that’s about to go down, but because I think I may actually be addicted to Twitter. Any who, let the speculations circle, and the rumors flow. Here’s a rumor for yah, Sinclair leaving PTFC? WHAAAA??? 💣💣
