International Break March 2017

It’s been a great week for us Earthlings. On Monday, Javier Baez, and the Electric Squad that is Puerto Rico, took a W in extra innings vs Holland. Then on Tuesday, Ian Kinsler bumps in the winning run late in the game vs Japan. Today, we’ll see the rematch of PR vs USA. But thats not the only international action we’ll see this week. There is an international break in the world of soccer, and we have some interesting matches.

Our first match includes Jaime Vardy and England, facing off against Germany. Though it is only a friendly, Germany will look to avenge their loss England handed to them last year. You know, the one that brought us Jaime Vardy’s first international goal. This masterpiece of a goal,

Second, we’ll see Brazil take on Uruguay. This is certainly more of an important game. With Uruguay trailing Brazil by 4 points, this WC Qualifier should be a dandy. After we found out that Messi and Suarez both, pee sitting down, Uruguay needs to thrash Neymar to restore Suarez’s manhood. Implications for this game include, Brazil leading CONMEBOL by a full 7 points. This would make it almost impossible for Argentina to win the group with only 6 games left and to be down potentially 11 points. Speaking of Argentina.cl71qpsugaa0bqy

Argentina will face Chile. like I mentioned before, Argentina is behind 8 points to Brazil.
But luckily for them, a win will push them up from 5th place to 3rd pending a Ecuador loss. And with Colombia looming behind them with 18 points, a loss for either Chile or Argentina could bump them out of the 5 spot, and out of the World Cup. For those of you not familiar, 1st-4th qualify for WC, 5th spot plays a team from Asia, in a double legged winner makes the WC match. If Argentina, or even reigning 2-time Copa America champs Chile, or even Colombia, don’t make the WC, the world wouldn’t look at James, or Messi, or Sanchez, the same.

On Friday, we got CONCACAF action with USA playing Honduras, and, Mexico vs Costa Rica. This is a HUGE week for the US. It’s our first match under President Trump, and if we don’t win, he might ban soccer in America indefinitely. They’re sitting at last place with 0 points. A win vs Honduras could put us in the 4th spot, sending us to play a team from the Oceanic confederation. This pending a Trinidad & Tobago loss, or win by less than 2 goals that the US should score. The implications for Mexico could be to become first place. Costa Rica is currently 2 points ahead of Mexico, and could pull ahead by 2 matches. I’ll leave you with this. Every time Mexico faces Costa Rica, I can only remember of the time USA saved Mexico’s ass to send them to WC playoff game.
