FINALLY!!! This saga of “Who will David Beckham seduce to Miami first?” has ended. It only took, oh all offseason to do so. Maybe 1 or 2 or 8 different whiffs on players, but who’s counting?
Miami, a city known for its Mexicans, lands a prized El Tri regular to market for the next, oh let’s say 2 years. I don’t see Pizarro sticking around too long given he’s as hellbent on playing in Europe, like a Kardashian-Jenner looking for another basketball stud to date. But unlike the Kardashian Kurse, Pizarro’s signing may actually win them a championship in year one, ending Chicago Fire’s curse of expansion teams winning a championship.

I’m well aware of what this means for the MLS. It means Liga MX fans coming from the woodworks claiming how bad Pizarro had played in recent games. It also means MLS fans being up their own ass talking about how Liga MX fans can eat shit because we are taking their players. Look, as much as this league is growing, I still believe that the salary cap is hindering the growth of the league. Let the teams pay what they want. There is nothing wrong with a 3 or 4 team dominant league.
Pizarro to Miami makes them a contender for sure. Add with him Lee Nguyen, Will Trapp, Matias Pellegrini, Roman Torres, a hopefully healthy Julian Carranza, and probably another DP signing, and Inter Miami is off to the races. Smash that +5000 on Bovada. It’s probably the best value pick in the entire league.
