In a Stunning Turn of Events, Lavezzi is the Highest Payed Player in the World

The Sun– Argentina forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has been earning more, than Carlos Tevez, with a weekly remuneration of £798,000 a week. That works out as £41.5million a year being shelled out by Hebei China Fortune.  So far, he has only scored two goals for Fortune… and it’s costing his club a fortune, around £20m a goal.

Last year, fake news media reported on Lavezzi leaving China for a measly, €10 million base salary (SAD!). But in reality Zeke Lavezzi is making a whopping $45 million a year. As if him taking over Tevez isn’t worse, him having a salary over Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, and literally everyone on the planet is just foolishness. I got 2 takes on this.

First of all, let’s give credit where credit is due. (Starts Slow Clap) Lavezzi is far from the best player from Argentina, at the time not even close to the best player in PSG, or let alone France, and after being injured in the Copa America, only played 10 total games for Hebei last season. With a broken arm! Not an ankle he can’t run on, not a knee he can’t stand on, an arm! Look, Lavezzi has been good this season, leading the league in assists in the 9 games so far, with 6, and has the team just sitting out the AFC qualifying stage. But it’s Lavezzi! Not Hazard, not James Rodriguez, hell I’ll even accept and older player like Dani Alves. Not Lavezzi! He cannot be the best paid on earth, not in this century or the next.

The second take is MLS being able to learn something from China. GET RID OF THE SALARY CAP!!! It’s not rocket science! If you can pay big bucks, big ballers will come. The Chinese Super League was founded barely in 2004, 11 years after the MLS. They already out number the list of great players in the league with names like, Paulinho, Fernandinho, Tevez, Lavezzi, Hulk, Oscar, Witsel, and many more. The USA is a money runned country. Who is famous for sports, entertainment, and POWER! The salary cap has got to go. Just missing out on famous players coming in to market the league better. Cmon Garber! Give the people what they want!
