Red Card, Yellow Card, and Goals of the Weekend 4/7-9

God, I feel like an idiot for totally missing the beat in last weekends recap. How stupid of me to go red, yellow, and green light, instead of red card, yellow card, and goals. But, I fixed that miss, and from now on, weekend recaps will go by Goals, Yellow, and Red Cards.

Goals

Goals will now replace our Green light. So, these won’t exactly have to be goals, but best of the best of the weekend. Our first goal comes of Mr. Roberto Firmino who put on a screaming volley to clinch the 2-1 win for Liverpool. No less showing off his Mickey Mouse tattooed filled body, and receiving his 7th yellow card for celebrating, boo the fun police. Second goal is a great week that Tottenham Hotspurs had. First, they scoring 3 goals in the last 5 minutes to beat Swansea. Then they go on and score 4 vs  Watford, and all were fantastic. Our other goal is for Lorenzo Insigne of Napoli. Not only does he score 2 on Sunday, but also saves one on the line.

Yellow Cards

Our first booking is to the Blaugranas. Barcelona could’ve capitalized on a Antoine Griezmen equalizer that stunned the city of Madrid. Having beaten Malaga, Barcelona would’ve been in the driver seat for a much anticipated El Classico matchup that ultimately could’ve decided La Ligas Championship. And speaking of the Madrid meltdown, the second yellow card goes to Real Madrid for dominated practically the whole match, to being championship cock blocked by Atleti in the 85th minute. 2 more yellow cards. One to Inter Milan for conceding 2 goals in the first half that lost them the match 2-1 to an abysmal Crotone side sitting in 18th place. I wasn’t sure what was more painful to watch, Inters first half, or those TERRIBLE uniforms. Our last booking is for 1899 Hoffenheim that beat the league leading Bayern, to losing to Hamburg that has a goal difference of -26. Compared to Hoffenheim, it’s a goal disparity of 43 Goals. Gotta win that game. Gotta be better.

Red Card

3 red cards today. First is of Mr. Ousmane Dembele. While being positioned on a free-kick Wall, Dembele ducks out of the way last moment to allow a Lewandoski goal. In the words of Sir Charles Barkley, “That’s TURRIBLE!” Red card number 2 is from Liga MX keeper Christian Campestrini of Puebla. After being the so called hero of the match, he lets the match go with an idiotic play with allow a late Chivas goal in aggregate time. Sad. And last, 4th place Lyon of France, let 18th place Lorient put up 4 goals in their own home. Unacceptable. Lyon hit the showers!
