5 Predictions for the Winter Transfer Window

Now, I am by no means Nostradamus. I’m not a wizard. There are some nights I can’t tell my left shoe from my right. But god dammit as a, “member of the press,” I’m allowed to make predictions. I’m allowed to fail miserably, and tell you that the world will end next month. And, like the basic bitch I am, I wrote a little list for you guys, because you know…everybody, and they mama, love list. So without further adieu, Here are my 5 predictions for the January Transfer Window.

1.  A Brazilian Star will make his way to the MLS.

I don’t know who, and I sure as hell don’t know where, probably LAFC, but a Brazilian Star will make his way to the MLS. The main players I think might make it are the China money seeking players. Players like Hulk, and Oscar have no standards, and I can’t blame them. I’ll sell out quicker than Gunners fan mentioning Wenger after conceding a goal. I look towards PSG, and Lucas Muora. They go out a chump change on Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, and already had Angel Di Maria. I fully expect Lucas to be out of there by February and MLS isn’t a horrible destination. I also wouldn’t be surprised if a heavy hitter comes this way. Maybe Coutinho wants to be in hollywood, maybe Marcelo, possibly Fernandinho. Lot of options here.

2. A North American League Star will head to Europe

Again, I’m not focusing on certain players. Why? Because it’s impossible to tell who it could be. Also, if the list of players is broad, I could potentially look like a genius. Big with a move like this it will be MVP calibers like Raul Ruidiaz of Monarcas, or Andre Pierre Gignac. States side, Villa and Giovinco could move back home to either Italy or Spain. Whoever it is, he will not be in the Premier League. I see them going to Spain, Italy, France, or Germany. Anywhere but England.

3. Barcelona will Sign not 1 But 2 MegaStars

I get that every Barca fan wants Josep Bartomeu’s head on a stick, but there is no chance in hell that they don’t realize Dembele and Paulinho don’t got the answers. Let’s be honest, the team is old. In a world where many superstars are young, Barca is throwing around old men onto the pitch. Not many of there Youth products have panned out. Sergi Roberto? Gerard Deulofeu? Munir? The facts are the facts, players are no longer growing on trees for Barca like they used to. Now it’s time to break the bank. Spend that lawsuit money, even before you get it. Griezmann? Sanchez? Hummels? Winter is coming, and Barcelona will be the big winners.

4. Coutinho will STAY!

I know you noticed no Coutinho on number 3. It almost seems logical that little Phil will be wearing the Blaugrana colors come February, but I think that Winter transfer does hi no good. By then, Liverpool WILL be competeting in the Champions League, and probably get an easy draw. Phil will be charmed into playing in England. They’ll probably be in reaching range of first place. He can’t leave then. Now I can’t say the same for next season, but this season he’ll end in red. It’ll be beneficial for him to stick it out through the World Cup, where he can ball out and be worth 200 Mil.

5. Christian Pulisic will be in the Premier League

The real baby faced assasin is destined for greatness. There are probably scriptures laying around prophisizing his success. I know what your thinking: “You Know nothing John Snow.” It’s true. I don’t know much. But I do know something. And that something is that Christian Pulisic is the, “Prince that was Promised.” 2 references to Game of Thrones? Yup. Now, I do believe that he doesn’t exactly want to leave, this season. But Borussia Dortmund is a spec of dust to a big English Club. I don’t know what team it’ll be, but when the big club comes-a-knocking, Pulisic will take the challenge, and lead American soccer to big things.
